Prateek Basavaraj is a Ph.D. student in Industrial Engineering program at the University of Central Florida and a Graduate Research Assistant at the Complex Adaptive Systems Laboratory, UCF. Prateek has worked on several projects studying the STEM curriculum, quality enhancement of computing programs, and student success. Prateek’s research focuses on higher education innovations that improve student learning and engagement. He is particularly interested in technology-enhanced learning to maximize the student learning experience and hence student success.
Prateek earned a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Department of Computer Science, University BDT College of Engineering, India. Prateek continued his education at the University of Central Florida, where he earned Master’s in Computer Science with a concentration in educational data analytics. Later, Prateek has found his real interest and passion for working to improve student learning and college experience using technology. Prateek identifies as a reflective practitioner and hopes to continue contributing innovative solutions to higher education challenges.
Research Interests: Student Success, Higher Education, Personalized learning, Academic Analytics, and Computing Education.
