Toktam Oghaz is a Ph.D. student at the Department of Computer Science and a researcher in the Complex Adaptive Systems Laboratory (CASL) at the University of Central Florida (UCF). She received her M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from UCF in 2017, and her B.Sc. in Bio-electrical Engineering in 2013. She is currently a graduate research assistant at UCF. Her research expertise is on artificial intelligence and machine learning, social media analysis and summarization, Theory of Mind and team mental models for computer games, and natural language processing for team interactions. She is a research scholar for the DARPA ASIST (Artificial Social Intelligence for Successful Teams) project, which is focused on artificial social intelligence for human-robot teamwork.
